Dr A Morris
I moved to Dartmouth in 2004 having previously been a
GP in Yorkshire.
My main clinical area of interest is in vascular
disease. This is a huge area and one in which we can
make major differences to people. Heart disease and
strokes can have devastating effects on peoples lives,
but aggressive and early structured care can really
help. I believe strongly that we can help people to help
themselves. I am currently studying for a masters degree
in Cardiology.
My other passion is service redesign. These are
changing times in the NHS. We have seen massive
improvements in the quality and scope of patient care in
the last 10 years, despite what the Daily Mail prints.
GPs are well placed to determine local health priorities
in consultation with patients and carers. We are aiming
to attract new services and provide existing ones in
ways that will, we believe, appeal to local patients.
