Online Appointments - FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the system?
Please click here for instructions.

Why can I only book doctors appointments?
Due to the nature of nurse and healthcare appointments, differing clinical instances need different amounts of time. Therefore, to make sure patients get the right allocated time slot for the reason they are making an appointment, we still require you to make an appointment with a receptionist.

What type of appointments can I book?
You can book routine GP appointments only. We do not allow online booking of "on the day" appointments, as we need to control these and make sure they are available for people who need them. If you think you need to be seen sooner  than you can find an appointment, please ring reception.

Why can I only book 3 appointments?
To make sure appointments are available for all, we have to set a limit to the amount of outstanding appointments each patient can book. If you have a need for further appointments and you already have 3 outstanding, please ring reception.

I have lost my username and/or password...
If you have lost your username and password, you will need to go through the registration process again.

How far in advance can I book?
You can book as far in advance as the appointment books allow.

Why do I need a unique e-mail address for each family member?
When booking or cancelling an appointment online, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Appointments are confidential in nature. Therefore, family members cannot share e-mail address's for the purpose of online booking, and each patient must have a unique e-mail address.

Why do you have to send a letter for registration?
Due to strict laws, we need to make sure that the person registering is who they state they are. Therefore, a letter with a security token will be sent to your home address.
