Welcome to the
Patient Toolbox. This is the area in which you can interact
with us here at the surgery. You can do this from your own
home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! The
web site is never closed!
Some Important Changes
Please note that there are some important changes to the way
in which we handle your information now.
Repeat
Prescriptions Online
You no longer have the choice while ordering a repeat
prescription online of which pharmacy to send your
prescription to. Although this was a nice feature to have,
it was taking double the time to issue the repeat
prescription.
It also caused
us a few problems in that people were selecting a chemist by
accident and then finding that their repeat prescription was
not at the surgery or their usual chemist. This was because
the user had asked in error for it to be sent somewhere
else.
You can change
you prescription delivery choice using the 'Change
Collection Point' form. Please bear in mind that this will
NOT be an instant change.
For those of you
who already regularly send your prescription to a chemist,
this will stay as your main choice. So if you usually have
your prescription sent to Lloyds, this will continue to
happen. You only need to change the collection point when
you want to permanently change where your prescription is
delivered.
Contacting
the Surgery
Due to the amount of spam mail that the surgery gets, we
are changing, and no longer advertising our e-mail address.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to filter out the spam
and find the 'true' e-mails.
The only way you
will be able to send an e-mail to the surgery is via the
contact form.
PLEASE do not
add the surgeries e-mail address, or any address you pick up
to your address list. This only makes the spam problem
worse.
Contacting a
Doctor
The contact a doctor feature has proved so successful
that we have set up consulting online. However, we are now
aware of people who have kept the GP's e-mail address and
are e-mailing their GP's directly. PLEASE do not do this.
The reason being, we can never guarantee that your GP will
be able to read e-mails. If you contact your GP through the
web site, it is guaranteed to be read by a member of staff
and then passed on to the appropriate doctor.
We are trying to
make as many services available to you online. However, if
these services start creating problems for us, as seen
above, we will have no choice but to withdraw them. Your
co-operation is much appreciated in keeping this web site
running how it should do.
